About the role
The Prison Arts Collective (PAC) Teaching Artist and Mentor in music at SDSU Research Foundation leads the implementation of the Arts Facilitator Training music program inside Avenal State Prison and other CDCR sites in California. They guide classes, mentor peer facilitators, and collaborate with the PAC Leadership and staff to build creative communities within correctional institutions.
Teaching artists receive specialized training for prison-based classes and are compensated for teaching
