About the role
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will join the Germany Design & Construction team and take on an operational role, primarily supporting the Senior Project Manager during the transfer phase of data center construction projects.The role provides exposure to the full project lifecycle — from permitting and authorizations through to final delivery — and offers a strong learning and development opportunity, with a gradual increase in responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong potential and initial experience in construction projects.RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Project Manager, you will contribute to the delivery of design and construction projects in Germany, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and schedule requirements, in close collaboration with the Senior Project Manager.Types of projects:Data centers
Electrical power supply infrastructure
Campus-wide works (underground networks, utilities, etc.)
Office buildings
Post-handover fit-out works (IT rooms, offices)Administrative phaseSupport in managing administrative procedures (permits, regulatory authorizations)
Coordination with architects, design offices, and authorities until permits are obtainedDesign phaseParticipation in meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to define project requirements
Monitoring of technical design and verification of compliance with project specifications
Interface between Design and Operations teamsConstruction & commissioning phaseDay-to-day monitoring of on-site progress with the Senior Project ManagerEnsuring compliance with safety and construction standardsCoordination with key stakeholders and service providers (energy suppliers, inspection bodies, design offices, etc.)Interface with clients (hyperscalers and key accounts) throughout the projectParticipation in commissioning activities and preparation of internal technical handoverProject handover & acceptanceSupport the transition from construction to operationsAssist with the collection and verification of technical documentation (as-built drawings, procedures, training materials)Coordination with Operations teams to ensure a smooth knowledge transferContribution to client reporting and delivery of project deliverablesOrganization of training sessions and on-site onboarding for operational teamsProject management & supportParticipation in project meetings and preparation of minutes and follow-up action listsPreparation of project reports in English for internal stakeholders and clientsBudget tracking in collaboration with Finance and Project teamsContribution to continuous improvement of project management tools and processesAdditional responsibilitiesSupport for environmental certification processes (e.g. BREEAM)Assistance with implementation of environmental policies (waste management, carbon reduction initiatives)Participation in commercial and pre-sales activities for complex technical solutionsContribution to client audits when requiredSupport in the deployment of internal tools (e.g. Oracle, Unifier) for risk management, reporting, and cost trackingREQUIREMENTS
Education and experienceEngineering degree (civil engineering, electrical engineering, general engineering, or urban planning/development)5+ years’ experience in construction projects or real estate development, site supervision, and project coordinationInternational exposure or the ability to work in a multicultural environment is a plusTechnical skillsLanguages: German and English (excellent written and verbal communication skills)Technical knowledge in construction: HVAC, electrical systems (low and high voltage), safety systems, structure, and finishesProficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCADKnowledge of Oracle or Unifier is a plusAwareness of HSE regulations and sustainable construction practicesBehavioral skillsHands-on, site-oriented mindsetStructured, reliable, and methodicalProactive with strong communication skillsStrong willingness to learn, grow, and develop in a dynamic environmentComfortable working in an agile and uncertain contextAbility to take initiative, move projects forward, and find solutionsTeam-oriented with strong interpersonal skillsCustomer-focused with a service-oriented mindset#J-18808-Ljbffr
