About the role
FPGA Engineer | High Frequency Trading | Miami | Up to $500k Total Compensation
If you're an FPGA Engineer based in Miami, or you've been considering relocating, this is one of the most exciting opportunities currently available in the market.
We're partnering with a highly respected systematic trading firm that is making a significant investment into a brand new High Frequency Trading business. This isn't replacing an existing team. It's an opportunity to join at the very beginning and help build the next generation of ultra low latency trading infrastructure from the ground up.
As one of the founding FPGA Engineers, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's hardware strategy, influencing architecture decisions and developing cutting edge FPGA solutions that power some of the fastest trading systems in the industry.
Working alongside world class Trading Engineers, Quantitative Researchers and Technical Leaders, you'll design and optimize hardware for market data processing, exchange connectivity and order execution where deterministic performance and every nanosecond matter.
This is an environment built for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical problems, pushing the limits of performance and working with some of the brightest minds in quantitative finance.
Highlights: Join one of the founding FPGA Engineers building a brand new High Frequency Trading business
Design and develop ultra low latency FPGA solutions for trading infrastructure
Build hardware acceleration for market data, exchange connectivity and order execution
Optimize networking, hardware pipelines and deterministic performance
Collaborate with world class FPGA, C++ and Quantitative Engineering teams
Work on greenfield technology with genuine technical ownership from day one
Miami location with relocation support available
Up to $500k total compensation
I’m looking to speak with FPGA Engineers who have 2+ years of experience and a genuine passion for high performance hardware design.
Experience within trading is beneficial but not essential if you've built latency sensitive FPGA systems in other performance critical environments.

Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
