Clinicians can review trends, reports, and SOAP note drafts to support better-informed follow-up conversations and care decisions. We are a founder-led health technology company focused on PM&R practices, pain clinics, and rehabilitation teams.
About the role: We are looking for a Senior Research & Rehabilitation Strategy Advisor with a master's degree or PhD and substantial experience in rehabilitation, pain research, health services research, or related healthcare programs. You will work directly with the founder to shape RehabLog's research priorities, product strategy, and clinical partnerships. This is a full-time role focused on strategy, research collaboration, and building the team’s capabilities. You will help set priorities for pilot delivery and collaborate with research and partnerships colleagues as RehabLog grows.
Responsibilities: Develop a research and rehabilitation strategy grounded in clinical needs, patient priorities, and the available evidence. Advise on patient-reported measures, evaluation methods, and meaningful ways to present pain, function, and recovery trends. Review pilot plans and research proposals for clear objectives, appropriate methods, feasible scope, and useful outcomes. Help build research collaborations with rehabilitation programs, pain clinics, academic groups, and health systems. Guide the founder and product team on priorities that address practical needs in patient follow-up and clinical workflows. Review research findings, reports, and product messaging so conclusions reflect the evidence and its limitations. Mentor the research and program team on study design, analysis, stakeholder communication, and project decisions. Identify opportunities for publications, research funding, and collaborations, and help prepare relevant proposals. Gather input from clinical and research partners and translate it into clear recommendations for RehabLog's next stage of growth.
Required qualifications: A master's degree or PhD in rehabilitation science, public health, health services research, clinical research, healthcare management, psychology, kinesiology, or a related field. Substantial experience leading research, rehabilitation programs, healthcare initiatives, or related multidisciplinary work. Experience developing strategy, advising senior leaders, or guiding teams through complex research or program decisions. Strong understanding of research methods, outcomes evaluation, and the responsible interpretation of patient-reported information. Ability to build relationships with clinical, academic, and operational stakeholders. Clear writing, sound judgment, and the ability to turn complex information into practical recommendations. Availability for a full-time role based in the United States.
Preferred qualifications: Experience with PM&R, pain management, rehabilitation outcomes, or digital health products. Experience leading research collaborations, clinical pilots, or health system programs. A record of peer-reviewed publications, successful research proposals, or program evaluation work. Experience mentoring researchers, managing teams, or advising an early-stage health technology company.
