About the role

As a Hospice Music Companion, you'll use music to bring comfort, joy, and meaningful connection to hospice patients during their journey. Volunteers provide companionship between care team visits, support personalized care, and create calming, uplifting experiences that enhance quality of life. Whether through singing, playing an instrument, or simply sharing a love of music, you can help foster connection, relaxation, and a sense of belonging for those in our care. Join our team of Hospice Music Companions and make a lasting impact. By sharing your time and musical talents, you'll help create meaningful moments for patients facing serious illness while supporting the goals of the hospice care team. Your presence can bring peace, comfort, and human connection when it matters most. Please contact Cheryl Forrester, Volunteer Services Coordinator 317-885-4200 Cherylforrester@accentcare.com

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
