About the role
Business Development Director | Healthcare Communications | East CoastI’m working with an established healthcare communications business that is looking to add an experienced Business Development professional to its commercial team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong track record of selling healthcare communications, HCP engagement, medical education, digital solutions or related services into pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The role will focus on developing new business, building senior client relationships and identifying opportunities to support pharma and biotech organisations with their communication and engagement objectives. What they’re looking for: Proven experience in Business Development, Sales or Commercial roles within healthcare, pharma, biotech or life sciences Experience selling into pharmaceutical and/or biotech companies Strong understanding of HCP engagement, medical communications, healthcare media, medical education, digital or omnichannel solutions Existing relationships across pharma, biotech and/or healthcare agencies Strong new business/hunter mentality Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and developing long-term client relationships East Coast based, with flexibility around location for the right person This would suit someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and creating commercial opportunities, rather than simply managing an existing book of business. If you're an experienced healthcare BD professional and would be open to hearing more, I'd love to connect.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
