About the role
The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking a full-time Cytopathologist to join its Faculty Practice at Mount Sinai Downtown in Union Square. The ideal candidate will provide ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration services for head and neck lesions, and deliver immediate onsite evaluation and diagnostic information. Providers will also benefit from the education, research, and clinical programs of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Practice Info Faculty Practice at Mount Sinai Downtown in Union Square
Responsibilities:
Provide ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration services, particularly head and neck lesions Render immediate onsite evaluation and diagnostic information to the treating/referring physician in the form of a written pathology report and call back when warranted Collaborate with colleagues as an integral part of a health system Actively participate as a multi-disciplinary team member in the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck tumors Support laboratory and hospital quality improvement and accreditation initiatives Compensation Compensation range from $173K to $305K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)Shift & Schedule Full-time employment
Requirements:
MD or DO from an Accredited University New York Medical License Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology and certificate of qualification in Cytopathology Three to five years of experience in cytopathology with expertise in performing ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration; in particular head and neck lesions Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve Excellent communication and organizational skillsA strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
