Mixer Technician / Batch Maker
Location: Walled Lake, MI
Shift: 1st ShiftOur client is seeking a dependable Mixer Technician / Batch Maker to join a manufacturing team in Walled Lake. This position is responsible for preparing and mixing chemical solutions according to established work instructions, monitoring product quality, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and clean mixing equipment. Measure and prepare chemicals/materials according to documented work instructions. Prepare solutions and make adjustments as needed to meet specifications. Collect samples and perform basic quality testing. Troubleshoot mixing and solution-related issues. Document production, process, and quality information. Perform basic preventative maintenance on mixing equipment. Safely handle, document, and dispose of chemical waste. Follow all safety, environmental, housekeeping, and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
Qualifications: Previous batch making, chemical mixing, blending, production, or related manufacturing experience preferred. High school diploma or GED.Comfortable working around chemicals and manufacturing equipment. Ability to follow formulas, written instructions, and safety procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Basic computer skills preferred. Forklift certification is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing production priorities. Schedule Production generally runs Monday Thursday, with employees required to be available on Fridays as needed. Depending on production requirements, the schedule will alternate between:10-hour shifts: 5:00 AM 3:00 PM12-hour shifts: 3:00 AM 3:00 PMCandidates must be comfortable with both schedules based on production needs.
