About the role

Research has shown that music has a profound effect on our well-being. Hospice patients are no exception. We make a difference every day to patients and families coping with terminal illness while creating a center of excellence in hospice care. As a Music Companion Volunteer you will partner with our Music Therapist or other support care team member to provide music that brings enjoyment, perhaps a positive well-being and much life enrichment. The ideal volunteer should enjoy singing, playing an instrument, or sharing recorded music with others. Hospice volunteers experience a great deal of satisfaction from their service and with the patients they visit. Seasons Hospice matches our volunteer with patients who live in their town or surrounding towns and we always work around personal or professional schedules. Many patients and families are forever changed by their hospice volunteer. Comprehensive hospice training and orientation is provided, free of charge, as well as ongoing support and hospice education opportunities. Should you have any questions, or need further information, please contact Rebekah Welch, Volunteer Coordinator at 302-533-3800 or rebekahwelch@accentcare.com For more information about Christiana Care in collaboration with Delaware Accent Care (formerly Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Delaware) please visit www.accentcare.com

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
