Merestone Productions is a full-service event production company specializing in creative design, scenic fabrication, audiovisual production, exhibits, and immersive environments. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Vectorworks Designer to lead our CAD team and bring creative concepts to life through detailed technical drawings and innovative design solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on designer with advanced Vectorworks expertise, a strong understanding of scenic construction and fabrication, and the ability to manage projects and mentor others.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the CAD team while remaining actively involved in design and drafting. Create and oversee accurate 2D/3D drawings, construction plans, and fabrication documentation. Collaborate with creative, production, and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical and build-ready. Maintain drawing standards, quality control, and project deadlines. Troubleshoot technical challenges and improve departmental workflows.
Qualifications: Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks and 3D modeling. Experience with scenic fabrication, construction methods, and materials. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor team members.
