What You'll Do:
  • Provide pediatric eye exams, including assessments for complex cases such as strabismus and binocular vision
  • Support staff with diagnostic imaging and workups
  • Perform contact lens fittings, including complex pediatric fittings when needed
  • Manage a high volume of pediatric patients—approximately 12-14 patients daily
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other specialists for patient care
  • Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management
  • Support patients across all cognitive abilities, including those on spectrum or with developmental delays
  • Participate in patient education and treatment planning
  • Conduct follow-up visits and comprehensive assessments as required
  • What You NeedDoctor of Optometry (OD) degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with pediatric populations in a medical setting; residency in pediatric optometry preferredCA state licensure
  • Current BLS certificationExperience with complex pediatric cases, binocular vision, and strabismus exams
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
