About the role

Regional Business Lead — Sports Performance & Rehab Technology You've spent your career on the field, in the weight room, or in the clinic — building programs, earning the trust of coaches and athletes, and watching technology change what's possible in performance and return-to-play. Now imagine using that network and expertise to bring the tools you already believe in - to every elite program across the Northeast and beyond. Simply put, be part of building an exciting business as the next step of your career.1080 Motion is looking for that person. Who We Are1080 Motion designs and builds motorized training and testing technology used by some of the most demanding performance environments in the world — pro sports leagues, university athletic programs, Olympic training centers, and top-tier private performance and rehab facilities. Headquartered in Sweden with our North American base in Austin, Texas, we help athletes and the practitioners who work with them build strength, speed and resilience to injuries — backed by real data, not guesswork. We're growing. We're profitable. And we're building a team of people who understand this world from the inside.
The Role: As our Regional Business Lead for the Northeast, you'll own the growth of 1080 Motion's presence across the region, and wherever your skills and connections can be applied in our highly collaborative team. This isn't a transactional sales job. It's a consultative, relationship-driven role built for someone who already speaks the language of elite performance and wants to help the field move forward.
What you'll do:
  • Build and grow relationships with new and existing customers across professional, collegiate, Olympic, and private-sector performance and rehab settings, generating sales of 1080 Motion's premium product line.
  • Own the full business cycle — responding to inbound interest, prospecting new opportunities, running in-person and virtual meetings, preparing quotes, closing deals, and oversee deployment — with a consultative approach that puts the client's outcomes first.· Lead onboarding and hands-on training so every customer gets the full value of their investment, whether that's remote support or on-site work at their facility. Become a go-to authority and someone coaches and clinicians call when they need advice.
  • Represent 1080 Motion at regional and national industry events — exhibiting, presenting, and building the brand's presence where the industry gathers.
  • Be involved as an expert resource in product development projects and enhancements of the 1080 product line.
  • Contribute as a key member of a small, high-performing, highly collaborative team with real targets and real accountability. Who We're Looking ForYou're established in elite sports — someone who other coaches, sports medicine staff, and performance directors already know and trust. You might be a Director of Sports Performance, a Head or Assistant S&C Coach, a sports medicine or rehab professional, or someone in a similar role who's ready for a new kind of challenge, with a network built over years at the professional or collegiate level. You'll thrive in this role if you:
  • Build genuine, lasting relationships easily — with customers, industry partners, and teammates alike.
  • Have strong business instincts and a real, personal interest in sports and human performance.
  • Can translate technical concepts into practical value for coaches, clinicians, and decision-makers.
  • Are self-motivated, organized, and tenacious — comfortable working independently, but equally invested as a team player.
  • Are comfortable with everyday business tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, social media).
  • Live in the US Northeast and are ready to travel regularly across the region and nationally.
  • Bring a genuine drive to grow — into this role, and beyond it.
Education & Experience: A university degree in Exercise Science, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, or a related field, plus a professional certification in strength and conditioning, athletic training, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of experience in strength and conditioning, athletic training, physical therapy, or a related area. Sales experience is a plus, not a requirement — the right person will pick it up fast.
What We Offer: Compensation based on experience, plus Flexible Personal Time Off and Medical and Disability insurance. You'll join a small, global team where your work is visible, your growth is real, and your network finally becomes an asset you can build a career on.1080 Motion is an equal opportunity employer with a drug-free work environment.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
