About the role
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator for our commercial roofing and siding division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating costs for commercial roofing and siding projects, with the ability to evaluate material, labor, and overhead costs. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately estimating project costs, preparing detailed proposals, and ensuring projects are completed on budget and on time.

Key Responsibilities:
-Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work for roofing and siding projects.
-Accurately estimate material and labor costs based on project requirements, including pricing for roofing, siding, flashing, insulation, and related materials using Planswift.
-Work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to gather additional information as needed.
-Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates and proposals for roofing and siding projects, ensuring all costs are accounted for.
-Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to ensure accurate project takeoffs.
-Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, identify potential challenges, and gather data for accurate estimates.
-Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
-Coordinate with the project management team to ensure timely and accurate project estimations.
-Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate effective communication throughout the project.
-Monitor and adjust estimates during the project lifecycle, making necessary changes based on scope adjustments or unforeseen issues.
-Track and analyze project costs, providing reports and updates as required.
-Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and new products that may impact project costs.
