About the Opportunity Are you detail-oriented, organized, and looking to grow your career in billing, accounting, or finance? Our client, a global law firm is seeking a Billing Clerk to support a fast-paced billing team and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely client invoicing.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation, review, and processing of client invoices and billing transactions.
Generate, edit, and distribute prebills and invoices based on firm and client requirements.
Enter billing updates, including narrative, time, cost, rate, and formatting changes.
Review billing records and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Research routine billing inquiries and assist with resolving outstanding billing issues.
Support monthly billing cycles by tracking deadlines and following up on pending items.
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other billing-related documentation.
Provide administrative and overflow support to the Billing team as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality of financial, client, and firm information.
Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in billing, invoicing, accounting support, data entry, or administration preferred.
- Experience within a legal, professional services, or consulting environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with Aderant or other billing/accounting software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
