About the role
- Coordinate and schedule daily propane service work for field technicians, including approximately 10–30 jobs per day.
- Gather, review, schedule, and assign work orders to appropriate field technicians.
- Plan technician schedules based on geographic location, technician availability, customer needs, job requirements, and priority.
- Maintain regular communication with field technicians throughout the day via phone and text to coordinate work and respond to changing needs.
- Make outbound calls to customers to coordinate service dates, times, and appointment details.
- Answer inbound calls related to propane service and scheduling needs.
- Serve as a point of contact for incoming leak calls and dispatch appropriate field resources in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor daily schedules and adjust or reprioritize work based on emergencies, cancellations, technician availability, and other operational needs.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of assigned service territories to efficiently coordinate technician travel and workloads.
- Work cross-functionally with field technicians, Customer Service, Accounts Payable, and other internal departments to support service needs.
- Utilize Cargas, P3, Service
- Titan, mapping tools, and other Company systems to coordinate and manage service work.
- Review and interpret spreadsheets and other operational information to support daily scheduling activities.
- Create and process purchase orders for materials and coordinate with Accounts Payable as needed.
- Participate in technician ride-alongs, safety inspections, and other field training to develop an understanding of propane service operations and technician responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate and timely information within applicable Company systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of office experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively coordinate schedules and adjust priorities based on changing operational needs.
- Ability to develop a strong working knowledge of assigned service territories and utilize maps and navigation tools to efficiently coordinate field work.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally with field technicians, customers, and internal departments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize Company software and systems, including Cargas, P3, and Service Titan.
- Able to remain professional and courteous when communicating with customers and employees.
- Able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
