About the role
- Build and run a structured outbound engine — target-brand list, decision-maker mapping and multi-channel outreach at consistent weekly volume
- Own a healthy, accurate pipeline — clear visibility of stage, value and probability of close, kept current in the CRM (Hubspot)
- Turn Komodo's credentials into door-openers — tailoring case studies and POVs into outreach that gets replies from mid-to-large US brands
- Hit activity as well as outcomes — meetings booked, proposals out and revenue closed, against an agreed weekly and quarterly rhythm Events & network
- Represent Komodo in market — industry events, brand summits, awards and networking across LA and the wider US
- Turn events into pipeline — the follow-up is the job, not the attendance
- Build a brand-side network of marketing, social and influencer decision makers you can call on directly Pitching & closing
- Lead new business meetings — discovery, credentials, proposal and close
- Brief and direct creative, strategy and influencer leads to build bespoke pitch responses that win
- Negotiate scopes, rates and terms that are commercially sound for both Komodo and the client
- Convert prospects into long-term retained clients, not one-off project winsWHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years in B2B sales or new business, ideally selling marketing, creative, media or platform services to brand-side clients
- A personal closing record you can evidence — deals you sourced and closed yourself, with the numbers and the context behind them
- Genuinely comfortable with cold outreach — email, LinkedIn, phone and in person — and consistent with it week after week
- Credible in the room with senior marketers — you can hold your own with a brand director or VP of Marketing
- Commercially sharp — you understand retainers, scoping, margin and how to structure a deal that works for both sides
- Self-managing — you set your own week, hold your own targets and do not need chasing
- Disciplined with a CRM and a deep understanding of Hubspot — pipeline hygiene is not admin to you, it is the job
- A real passion for social, influencer and creative culture. You have to believe in what you are sellingNICE TO HAVE
- An established network of brand-side marketing contacts in the US
- Direct experience selling influencer, content or experiential marketing services
- Experience selling into beauty, fashion, travel, FMCG, entertainment or spirits — Komodo's core sectors
- Familiarity with HubSpot.
- Experience mentoring juniors, or the ambition to build a team as the region growsWHY KOMODO
- Uncapped earnings — $90,000–$110,000 base with uncapped commission on the revenue you close. No ceiling, no caps.
- Own the pipeline — the US outbound pipeline is yours. You set the target list, the approach and the rhythm, backed by a founder who wants results, not status updates.
- World-class collateral — you're selling campaigns for L'Oréal, TikTok, Adidas and Amazon. The credentials sell themselves once you're in the room.
- Room to grow — the US is our fastest-growing market. As the region scales, so does your scope, including the chance to build a team beneath you.
- Hybrid and flexible — hybrid working in LA. We care about meetings booked and deals closed, not hours at a desk.
- Global agency — London, LA and Sydney, delivering award-winning work in 54+ countries.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
