About the role
Lead Product Manager | Mobile App, Growth, Subscriptions & Wearables Miami, FL | Remote (US, EST Time zone) | Competitive salaryI’m working with a fast-growing consumer health, fitness and wellness technology company that is at an exciting stage of its product journey. With a user base of 1 million+, the business combines hardware, software and AI to create connected health and fitness experiences. They are now bringing their mobile app development in-house and are looking for their first dedicated product hire focused on the app to take ownership of the product from the ground up.
The opportunity:
As Lead Product Manager, you’ll be a hands-on individual contributor responsible for the full product lifecycle of the consumer mobile app and its wider connected ecosystem. Working closely with the founders and existing development team, you’ll define the product vision and strategy, build the roadmap, translate it into execution and ultimately own how the product performs in market. This is not a role where you’ll inherit an established product function or own one particular area. You’ll be expected to take the product from strategy and discovery through development, launch, measurement and continuous optimisation. The opportunity is to take an app that is currently primarily a smartwatch companion and help transform it into a daily health, fitness and wellness platform, with stronger engagement, retention and subscription potential..You’ll own: Product vision, strategy & roadmap - defining where the product goes and prioritising what gets built. The full customer lifecycle - onboarding, activation, engagement, habit formation, retention, subscription conversion and renewal. Product development - working closely with engineering, design, data, QA and other teams to take products from idea through to launch. Growth & experimentation - using product analytics, A/B testing, cohort analysis, behavioural data and user research to understand and improve performance. Subscriptions & monetisation - shaping the premium proposition, trials, paywalls, conversion journeys and long-term customer value. Health & wearable experiences - turning activity, sleep, heart rate, HRV, stress, recovery and other signals into useful, differentiated experiences. The wider connected ecosystem - working across mobile, APIs, cloud/data, hardware and connected devices.
What We’re Looking For:
I'm looking for someone who has owned an entire consumer product lifecycle, rather than someone who has only been responsible for a specific product area or feature set. You don't need to come specifically from wearables. Fitness, health, wellness and other high-frequency consumer product backgrounds are all highly relevant. You’ll ideally have:5+ years’ Product Management experience, with strong consumer mobile exposure. Experience taking ownership of a product across strategy, discovery, development, launch and optimisation. A strong understanding of activation, engagement, retention, growth and subscription metrics. Hands-on experience with experimentation, A/B testing, analytics and cohort analysis. Experience across iOS and Android products. An understanding of APIs, data platforms and connected hardware. Experience in fitness, health, wellness, wearables or another high-frequency consumer product. The confidence to operate autonomously as a senior individual contributor. Experience working directly with founders or senior stakeholders in an early-stage or scaling environment. I'm interested in people who have previously been the first or one of the first product hires, or who have joined a business where they were expected to establish the product direction and ways of working themselves. Why This Role? This is a genuine opportunity to own and shape a consumer product from the ground up. You’ll have the autonomy to define the strategy, build the roadmap, work alongside the founders and development team, and take responsibility for the product’s performance throughout its lifecycle. If you’re a product leader who enjoys building rather than inheriting, thrives in ambiguity and wants genuine end-to-end ownership of a consumer product in the health, fitness and wellness space, I’d love to hear from you. If this sounds like you, or someone in your network, I'd love to hear from you. Please send across your CV to Zoe.hinkinson@propellondon.com
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
