About the role
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT systems and support
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (XP, 7, 8.x)
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and TCP/IP networking protocols
- Familiarity with VPN setup and management
- Basic desktop support and ticket resolution experience
- Ability to assess and set up hardware and internet infrastructure in client environments
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel once a month, typically from Wednesday to Wednesday
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team
- Work with acquired companies to integrate their systems into the organization’s infrastructure
- Conduct on-site assessments of hardware, network, and internet capabilities
- Set up VPNs, internet access, and other IT infrastructure components
- Train employees on new systems and technologies
- Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution of hardware/software issues
- Manage inventory of computers and mobile devices, including deploying updates and creating software images
- Collaborate with team members and support staff to ensure seamless operations
- Document procedures, provide technical advice, and contribute to process improvements
- Support desktop, network, and user needs, including ticket resolution and hardware setup
