đź’° Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 + BonusA growing construction and field services organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume billing and collections environment and has experience supporting construction, industrial, utility, transportation, or field service operations. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, collections, cash applications, payment reconciliation, customer account management, and resolving billing discrepancies. This position works closely with operations, project teams, and customers to ensure accurate billing and healthy cash flow. Based on duties including invoicing, collections, cash applications, reconciliations, and customer account management.
Key Responsibilities: Generate and process a high volume of customer invoices accurately and on time. Submit invoices through customer portals and third-party billing systems. Apply customer payments received via ACH, wire, credit card, and check. Reconcile customer accounts and investigate billing discrepancies. Monitor aging reports and proactively manage collections. Follow up on outstanding balances and maintain detailed collection records. Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and customers to resolve billing issues. Establish and maintain customer accounts and records. Support month-end close activities related to accounts receivable. Assist with lien waivers, contract billing, and customer documentation requirements.
Qualifications: 3+ years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or related accounting experience. Experience in a high-volume invoicing and collections environment required. Construction, industrial services, utility services, transportation, manufacturing, or field-service industry experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of accounts receivable, billing, cash applications, and collections. Experience working with accounting and billing systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and customer service skills.
