About the role
Position Summary:
The company is seeking a Buyer/Planner responsible for procurement and negotiation of materials, components, equipment, supplies, and services that meet quality standards. This role will also manage planning requirements and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services within budget. The position requires independent judgment, strong planning capabilities, and the ability to execute effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic ProcurementSupport the development and execution of purchasing strategies for raw materials, components, and services used in advanced healthcare productsCollaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to forecast demand and optimize inventorySupplier ManagementIdentify and evaluate suppliers aligned with innovation and compliance standardsManage supplier relationships to ensure reliability and cost efficiencyCompliance & QualityEnsure procurement activities meet all regulatory and compliance requirementsMonitor supplier performance and support quality audits as neededCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with operations, R&D, sourcing, and finance teams to support product development and launch timelinesReporting & AnalyticsTrack KPIs, cost savings, and supplier performance metricsMaintain accurate records and reporting through ERP systemsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of purchasing experience in a regulated industryStrong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skillsTravel RequirementsUp to 25%Preferred QualificationsProfessional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM) Familiarity with specialty metalsPassion for innovation and continuous improvementAdditional InformationCandidates must have current and future authorization to work in the United States without sponsorshipBenefits OverviewMedical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth savings and flexible spending accounts 401(k) planPaid time off and holidaysModernmachiningsolutions
