Location: Remote (United States)
Job type: Full-time & Part-time
Industry: Medical billing and revenue cycle management
Experience: 2+ years of production coding experience About Solv Billing Solv Billing is a nationwide medical and dental billing team. We provide full revenue cycle management to small and mid-sized practices — claims, denials and appeals, payment posting, credentialing and enrollment, and patient statements. Our clients get a named billing professional, not a ticket queue.
About the role: We need a certified Medical Coder who codes for accuracy first. Our clients are small and mid-sized practices where a single coding error is a real denial, an audit exposure, or a patient with an unexpected bill. You will assign codes across specialties, answer coding questions from billers and providers, and support the audit work we do for clients.
What you will do:
  • Assign CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS codes from clinical documentation with high accuracy* Review charts for documentation gaps and query providers where clarification is needed* Support clean-claim submission by resolving coding-related edits and denials* Perform coding audits and provide written feedback to providers and billing staff* Stay current on annual code updates, payer policies and modifier requirements* Document coding rationale so decisions are defensible in an audit* Advise clients on documentation improvement where it protects revenue
What we are looking for:
  • Active coding certification required (CPC, CCS, CIC, CPC-H or equivalent)* 2+ years of production coding experience across one or more specialties* Strong command of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS, including modifiers* Ability to code from clinical documentation independently and explain your reasoning* Detail-oriented with a low error tolerance* Excellent written English for audit findings and provider feedback
Nice to have:
  • Behavioral health, dental, urgent care or EMS coding experience* Coding audit or compliance experience* Multiple certifications or a specialty credential

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
