Reports to: SupervisorPrimary Purpose: Handling and stocking various materials to support production staff in the manufacturing processEssential Functions: Support production by maintaining sufficient material at lineProvide vacation coverageMaintain accurate material blend ratio, brand/upgrade as always required using the FIFO system (First in-First out) Perform material and line changeovers as instructed, safeguarding contaminationRemove product from machines as instructedMaintain machine, plant, warehouse cleanlinessComplete all appropriate paperworkStage materials for upcoming changeoversObtain a Hi-Lo License and operate safely at all timesComplete daily Hilo inspection sheetReport on quality and safety issues to include needed repairs to immediate supervisorPerform color changes per work scheduleEmpty all rubbish containers at the end of each shiftRemove old identification from containers prior to re-usePerform inventory control as neededKaizen, 5s, HousekeepingQualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years’ experience in a plastics manufacturing environment (preferably automotive) Knowledge of inventory controlOutstanding attendance recordLight administration duties to include chart managementInterpersonal communication skillsBasic math skillsPhysical Requirements: standing, lifting, bending, twisting, continuous movement
