About the role

SolidWorks Drafter – Research & Development Help create our next generation of boat lifts and docks. Golden Boat Lifts is looking for a motivated, tech-savvy, and creative SolidWorks Drafter to join our team, with a focus on research and development (R&D). You'll create 3D models and drawings that help us develop new products and improve the ones we build today. In this role, you'll do more than update drawings. You'll help explore new ideas, work through design challenges, and turn concepts into models that can be built and tested. You'll work independently on assigned projects while working closely with our drafting and production teams. If you enjoy working with technology, solving problems, and seeing your work become a finished product, this is an opportunity to build your drafting career.
What You'll Do: Support new product development: Help turn ideas for new boat lifts, docks, and product improvements into detailed models and drawings. Create in 3D: Use SolidWorks to model parts and assemblies and prepare drawings for prototypes and production. Improve designs: Revise models and drawings based on team feedback, testing results, and current production standards. Work with production: Help the team understand drawings, address questions, and make sure parts fit and work as intended. Make clear reference materials: Prepare layouts and illustrations that help others understand our products. Keep files organized: Maintain drawing files, product information, and the engineering database. Keep projects moving: Gather the information you need, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Support the team: Follow company standards and procedures, and help with other related tasks as needed.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
