We are looking for a strategic, results-driven Senior Buyer to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced procurement professional looking to own end-to-end strategic sourcing, drive category management, and lead complex commercial negotiations within the renewable energy and energy storage industry. You will spearhead high-value sourcing strategies, manage critical supplier partnerships, and play a pivotal role in scaling our Source-to-Pay (S2P) operations. You’ll work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to mitigate supply chain risks, optimize cost structures, and support large-scale project deployment. This role includes a travel requirement of approximately 15-25% for key supplier negotiations, site visits, and operational coordination. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) lifecycle for critical project categories; develop and execute RFPs/RFQs, drive complex commercial bid evaluations, and architect high-value supplier contracts. Serve as the strategic escalation point for key suppliers; conduct regular business reviews, monitor long-term performance KPIs, mitigate commercial risks, and drive continuous supplier improvement. Partner seamlessly with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Legal, and Finance teams to align procurement strategies with major project milestones, capital budgets, and execution timelines in an EPC driven environment. Negotiate favorable commercial terms, pricing agreements, warranties, and service level agreements (SLAs) while partnering with legal counsel to minimize risk and ensure corporate compliance. Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses, monitor global market trends for key commodities, generate executive-level reports, and identify cost-optimization opportunities. Drive internal procurement process improvements, maintain rigorous audit readiness within ERP systems.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.6–8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, contract management, or supply chain operations, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, construction, or energy sectors. Demonstrated success in independently drafting, negotiating, and executing complex commercial contracts and master service agreements (MSA’s).Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Net Suite) and procurement automation tools. Strong analytical capabilities with advanced proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Excel (or related BI tools).Proven track record managing procurement within project-based or capital-intensive environments. Demonstrated ability to articulate and resolve complex operational or commercial challenges using structured frameworks (STAR method: Situation, Task, Action, Result during case evaluations/interviews)Exceptional cross-functional communication, active listening, executive-level stakeholder management, high emotional intelligence (EQ) for conflict resolution, and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience working within an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment or managing complex EPC subcontracts. Experience specifically in managing end-to-end procurement cycles for complex, highly engineered industrial installations, including renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), high voltage electrical infrastructure, Biogas Digestion, Geothermal/ORC, and Oil & Gas process plants. Demonstrated track record of achieving significant, measurable cost savings through direct supplier negotiations, competitive sourcing events, cost analysis, and commercial strategy
Compensation and Benefits:
