Responsibilities:
  • Designs new products and electrical components in a hands-on, collaborative team.
  • Creates and maintains schematics, wiring diagrams and bills of materials.
  • Develops control software for research prototypes and production products, meeting functional, safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Builds test plans with other engineering teams, covering unit, system and alpha testing, and helps run tests and analyze data.
  • Maintains the controls hardware and software library across the product life cycle.

  • Control system design packages in electrical CAD (computer-aided design) software.
  • Hands-on programming of PLCs (programmable logic controllers, industrial computers that run equipment) or equipment controllers.
  • Industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet and SNMP (standards that let equipment report to building-management and network-monitoring systems).
  • Design for manufacturability and serviceability.
  • Clear written and spoken communication, careful documentation and data analysis.
Preferred:
  • Allen-Bradley PLCs and Carel controllers (platforms common in industrial and HVAC equipment).
  • SolidWorks Electrical.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
