About the role
Technical Projects Co-Op for 2027ETC is hiring a Technical Projects Co-Op for 2027! This is an 8-9 month position for students starting in January 2027 or May 2027. The expectation would be for the student to take a semester off of school and work full-time with ETC!Some of the duties you may be doing: Support ETC and other productsMaintain a shared test space and associated equipmentBecome familiar with tools and applications used by departmentSet up test systems to simulate issues in the fieldTest material and software to evaluate issuesProvide technical support to internal customersProvide technical support to ETC Summer Workshop and Technical Service training eventsEnsures training workshops have adequate preparationEnsures training attendees are educated on ETC productsPerforms hardware and software upgradesPerforms specified upgrade to meet customer requirementsCompletes follow-up documentationEstablishes and maintains relations with departments other than Technical Service (R&D and Manufacturing) Ensures ETC is projected in a professional and enthusiastic mannerOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications: High School Diploma and 2 years study towards a Bachelor's degree in Technology3.0 GPA or above in core coursesComputer knowledgeExperience with lighting systemsCustomer service experience preferredExperience working in a team environmentKnowledge of entertainment lighting systemsSpecific knowledge of ETC product line is desiredExcellent communications and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to be creative and innovativeAbility to multi taskStrong degree of flexibility and independenceComputer skills (Outlook, Internet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat Reader) Ability to use product related softwareAble to use hand tools, power tools, and electronic test toolsAbility to work weekend and evenings as requiredAble to lift up to 65 poundsKnowledge of the fundamentals of electricity*HR will start reviewing applications end of September
