Macclesfield Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an established and highly regarded independent planning consultancy in their search for a Chartered Senior Town Planner to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner looking to take the next step in their career within a consultancy that works across a broad range of planning projects for private and public sector clients.
The Role:
As a Chartered Town Planner, you will be involved in a varied portfolio of planning projects, providing professional planning advice and managing projects from inception through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a range of planning applications and projects * Providing strategic planning advice to clients * Preparing and submitting planning applications * Undertaking planning research and policy analysis * Liaising with local planning authorities and other stakeholders * Attending client and stakeholder meetings * Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships * Working alongside colleagues and external consultants to deliver successful projects
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have: MRTPI Chartered status – essential * Strong experience within UK town planning * Previous consultancy experience * A good understanding of the UK planning system and relevant legislation * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong project management and organisational abilities * The confidence to deal directly with clients and planning authorities * A proactive and commercially minded approach Why Apply?
