About the role
Retail Food Safety AuditorAs a Retail Food Safety Auditor, you will play a crucial role in the mission of NSF to protect and improve human and planet health. As a Retail Food Safety Auditor, you will have the opportunity to travel, meet new people, and learn more about many of the businesses you may frequent as a consumer. You'll inform and educate restaurant, bar, grocery store, and foodservice personnel about specific standards while continuing to learn more about those industries and grow your skills.ResponsibilitiesPerform 2nd party audits for retail clientsManages own work plans for the completion of audits within a determined timeframe, including schedule and workloadSummarize audit findingsCommunicates effectively with clients, Audit Delivery Manager, and Account ManagerDemonstrate a high level of Quality and Integrity in your daily responsibilitiesQualificationsMust currently be registered with the SkillBridge ProgramMust be currently serving, Active Duty, U.S. Armed Forces Service Member or SpouseMust be within one year of your End of Active Service Transition DateBachelor's degree in Science or a combination of one of the following: (1) an Associate's degree with at least 2 years of experience in food safety, restaurant or grocery operations or (2) High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years experience in food safety, restaurant or grocery operationsExcellent verbal and written communication, analysis and problem-solving skillsWilling to travel up to a 150-mile radius from (NYC, LA, Dallas TX, Tampa FL) with the potential of outside of this radius.Willingness to work at minimum one weekend a month and some eveningsMust have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationPrior food safety experience/knowledgePreferred Qualifications Prior food safety audit experienceServSafe certificationCertified CP-FS (Certified Professional Food Safety) or capable to obtain within 12 months (or equivalent certification)About UsWith a legacy spanning more than 80 years, NSF leverages science and innovation to improve human and planet health.
