Asset Manager - Chicago IL About the OpportunityGTM Talent is recruiting on behalf of a Chicago-based real estate investment firm focused on senior housing and operationally complex real estate. The firm combines institutional investment discipline with an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach to value creation. Our client is seeking an Asset Manager to manage and help scale a growing portfolio of senior living assets. This is a highly visible, hands-on role with direct exposure to senior leadership. The individual will influence operational performance, investment strategy, and portfolio value creation while gaining exposure across asset management, acquisitions, capital projects, refinancings, and dispositions.
What You’ll Do:
Own a portfolio of senior living assets across multiple markets Monitor occupancy, pricing, financial performance, and market conditions Serve as the primary relationship between ownership and operating partners Hold operators accountable and drive performance improvement Lead budgeting, forecasting, capex planning, and asset-level business plans Support acquisitions, refinancings, recapitalizations, and dispositions Maintain asset-level models, valuations, and investor reporting Identify issues early and drive action plans What We’re Looking For 5 to 10 years of experience in real estate asset management and/or senior housing operations Experience with value-add, transitional, or operationally complex assets Strong operational and financial acumen Experience working with ownership groups, institutional capital, and third-party operators Ability to manage operators firmly and collaboratively Entrepreneurial, owner-oriented mindset Strong communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills Chicago-based, with willingness to travel regularly What’s in it for you?
