Territory Representative – New Business Sales Northern California Remote/Field-Based - Northern California | Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 Base Salary + Bonus/Commission Build What Comes Next. Scott Premium Closures delivers high-quality closure solutions to the wine industry, backed by technical expertise and a commitment to service and innovation. We're looking for an experienced sales professional to grow our business across Northern California's winery and specialty beverage market. In this business sales role, you'll open doors, build relationships, and turn new opportunities into lasting revenue. You'll work alongside our established sales team, focusing on new customers and additional business while existing representatives continue to manage their assigned accounts.
What You Will Do: ALL Prospect for and convert net-new winery and specialty beverage customers throughout Northern California Build and manage a qualified pipeline and territory new-business strategy Lead opportunities from first contact through trials, proposals, negotiation, and initial sale Present closure solutions and business proposals to winery owners, executives, winemakers, purchasing teams, and other decision-makers Use CRM data and sales analytics to prioritize opportunities, forecast activity, and measure territory performance Manage a diverse portfolio of prospects and newly acquired accounts Collaborate with existing sales and technical teams and support account transition when appropriate Represent Scott Premium Closures at winery visits, trade shows, and industry events What You Bring 5+ years of proven sales and business development experience in wine, specialty beverage, closures, or related packaging Demonstrated track record of managing or generating $2 million in annual sales revenue Proven success prospecting for and converting net-new customers Experience managing a diverse portfolio of accounts and complex sales cycles Strong presentation, consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM; use of sales analytics to guide territory strategy preferred Strong knowledge of the Northern California winery market Ability to travel regularly throughout Northern California, including occasional overnight travel
