Job Description: HVAC Sheet Metal Foreman Atlantic Pacific Standard, LLC (APS)is seeking an experiencedHVAC Sheet Metal Foremanto lead commercial and government HVAC sheet metal projects. This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced professional who can effectively supervise field crews while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, productivity, and schedule performance.
Position Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate HVAC sheet metal crews on commercial, municipal, and government construction projects. Plan daily work activities, assign manpower, and coordinate materials, equipment, and tools. Read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, shop drawings, and HVAC ductwork layouts. Oversee fabrication and installation of HVAC ductwork, fittings, supports, hangers, dampers, louvers, and related sheet metal components. Lay out duct systems and field installations in accordance with approved drawings and specifications. Coordinate HVAC work with plumbing, electrical, structural, and other construction trades. Verify field dimensions and identify potential conflicts before installation. Monitor crew productivity and ensure work is completed according to project schedules and quality requirements. Inspect completed work for compliance with plans, specifications, applicable codes, and company standards. Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and other field personnel. Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower records, material requirements, and progress documentation. Enforce APS safety policies, OSHA requirements, and project-specific safety procedures. Conduct daily pre-task planning and toolbox/safety meetings as required. Train, mentor, and provide direction to HVAC sheet metal journeymen, apprentices, and helpers. Identify field issues early and communicate manpower, material, scheduling, or coordination concerns to management. Maintain an organized, professional, and productive jobsite.
Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experiencepreferred. Previous Foreman or Lead HVAC Sheet Metalexperience strongly preferred. Extensive knowledge of commercial HVAC ductwork fabrication and installation. Ability to read mechanical plans, specifications, details, and shop drawings. Knowledge of SMACNA standards and applicable mechanical codes. Experience working on commercial, municipal, federal, military, or other government projects is highly desirable. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage crews and maintain production schedules. Must be safety-conscious and capable of enforcing jobsite safety requirements. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. OSHA 10/30, lift certifications, and other industry certifications are a plus. Must be able to successfully complete project-specific background checks and badging requirements when required.
