Air-Heat Mechanical Contractors is looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in troubleshooting problems, making dependable repairs, and taking care of customers. We're independently owned-not part of a private equity group. Our approach is straightforward: provide good service, make honest recommendations, and build lasting customer relationships. We value your technical skills and judgment, without pressure to meet aggressive sales quotas.
What you'll do:
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, mini-splits, exhaust fans, and other commercial heating and cooling equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and airflow issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and identify potential equipment problems.
  • Communicate findings clearly and recommend repairs based on the customer's needs.
  • Complete accurate service records and maintain a safe, organized work area.
  • Safely move, set up, and climb a 32-foot extension ladder to access rooftop equipment.
  • Represent Air-Heat Mechanical Contractors professionally at customer facilities. What you'll bring A minimum of 3 years of hands-on HVAC field service experience. Commercial service experience is strongly preferred.
  • Required EPA refrigerant handling certification.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with commercial HVAC equipment and the ability to read wiring diagrams.
  • Comfort working on rooftops, at heights, and safely handling a 32-foot extension ladder.
  • Dependability, clear communication, and pride in doing the job right. What you can expect A regular Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
