Aviation Interiors Technician This contract role focuses on the assembly, installation, and final fitting of aircraft seating components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will use your mechanical aptitude and aviation training to interpret blueprints and OEM manuals, perform subassemblies, and ensure high-quality installation of aircraft seats under the guidance of experienced leads.
Responsibilities: Assemble and install aircraft seating and related components in accordance with engineering prints, diagrams, and OEM manuals. Perform mechanical subassemblies using appropriate hand tools, ensuring all parts are correctly fitted and secured. Remove and replace seat components and hardware as needed to complete final fits and adjustments. Interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, and aviation OEM manuals to execute work accurately and efficiently. Work under the guidance and supervision of leads to meet production schedules and quality standards. Follow established aircraft manufacturing processes and procedures at all times. Inventory and properly manage client tooling and equipment used during assembly and installation activities. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure precise assembly and safe installation of seating systems. Contribute to meeting deadlines in a deadline-intensive environment, including working scheduled overtime and weekend shifts. Adhere to all site rules and safety protocols, including requirements associated with airport access and badging. Essential Skills12.5 years of experience in aircraft seating assembly and/or installation, or equivalent A&P maintenance schooling. Schooling or working knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and aviation OEM manuals. Proficiency using hand tools for mechanical assembly, subassemblies, and installation tasks. Ability to perform removal and replacement of aircraft seat parts and complete final fits. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with mechanical assemblies. High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Ability to excel in a deadline-intensive environment while following aircraft manufacturing processes. Capability to work effectively under guidance and supervision of leads. Ability to obtain an airport badge in accordance with site requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience working with aviation OEM manuals in a production or maintenance setting. Exposure to aircraft upholstery or seating-related materials and components. Prior experience in mechanical assembly in an aerospace or similar manufacturing environment. Willingness to work significant overtime hours each week as required by the production schedule.

Work Environment: This is a contract position currently planned through December 31, with strong potential for extension, removal of weekend hours, and possible direct hire in March if workload sustains. The schedule is second shift Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to midnight, with weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Significant weekly overtime is expected, and when contractors are scheduled to work on Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, or New Years Day, they receive time-and-a-half pay. Work takes place in an aircraft manufacturing and assembly environment that requires adherence to safety procedures and the ability to obtain and maintain an airport badge.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
