We specialize in resolving wildlife problems involving squirrels, flying squirrels, raccoons, bats, rodents, snakes, and other nuisance wildlife. Our work goes beyond simply removing animals. We identify how wildlife is entering structures, perform professional exclusion and repair work, and help protect homes and businesses against future wildlife entry. We are looking for a dependable, skilled, and motivated Wildlife Control & Exclusion Technician who wants an opportunity to build a career and grow with our company. This is not a traditional pest-control route position. This is a hands-on skilled-trade position involving wildlife control, construction-style repairs, ladders, roofs, attics, crawlspaces, and problem-solving. Our Vision At Grade A Critter Wildlife & Pest Solutions, our vision is to be the trusted partner protecting what matters most—our customers' peace of mind, their homes, and our community. We stay one step ahead of wildlife challenges, offering expert care with a personal touch. Every day, we aim to ensure when people think of a safe, critter-free environment, they think of Grade A Critter—always ready, always caring. We're looking for employees who want to be part of that vision. That means doing more than completing a work order. It means taking pride in your workmanship, treating customers and their property with respect, working safely, solving problems correctly, and helping us build a company known for dependable, professional wildlife service. Pay Based on Experience We recognize the difference between an experienced wildlife professional and a skilled tradesperson who needs to be trained specifically in wildlife control. Technician Trainee / Skilled Trades Candidate $23–$25/hour + incentives This range is generally intended for candidates who are mechanically inclined and have strong hands-on skills but need to be trained specifically in professional wildlife control and exclusion. Relevant backgrounds may include: Carpentry • Roofing • Gutters • Siding • Construction • Handyman Work • Pest Control • Home Repair • Property Maintenance • Similar Skilled Trades Grade A Critter will provide wildlife-specific training, including: Wildlife identification and behavior Trapping and removal procedures Wildlife entry-point identification Inspection techniques Exclusion methods One-way devices Wildlife-proofing materials and installation Job documentation Customer communication Grade A Critter service and repair standards Candidates should already be comfortable using tools, safely handling ladders, and performing or learning quality repair work. Experienced Wildlife Control & Exclusion Technician $26–$28/hour + incentives This range is generally intended for candidates with verifiable professional wildlife-control and exclusion experience who require significantly less training. Experienced candidates should be capable of: Identifying common wildlife species and signs of activity Locating active and potential wildlife entry points Understanding professional trapping and removal procedures Performing professional wildlife exclusion work Completing common roofline, soffit, fascia, vent, and structural repairs Installing one-way devices and wildlife-exclusion materials Inspecting roofs, attics, crawlspaces, and building exteriors Communicating findings professionally to customers Properly documenting jobs with photographs and notes Performing routine assignments independently after learning Grade A Critter's procedures Recognizing when a job requires additional manpower, equipment, or management involvement Starting pay within either range is based on demonstrated ability, experience, and the amount of training required—not simply years in the industry.
What You'll Do: Responsibilities may include: Perform wildlife trapping, removal, and control services Inspect residential and commercial structures for wildlife activity and entry points Determine how animals are entering structures Perform professional wildlife exclusions Seal gaps and openings along rooflines, soffits, fascia, siding, foundations, vents, and other structural areas Perform minor carpentry and exterior building repairs Install screening, metal flashing, vent protection, chimney caps, one-way doors, and other wildlife-exclusion products Safely use hand tools, power tools, and specialty wildlife equipment Safely lift, carry, position, secure, and climb extension ladders Perform exterior wildlife-exclusion and repair work at elevated heights that may reach approximately 30–50 feet above ground level Work on roofs and elevated exterior areas using appropriate fall-protection and safety equipment Enter attics and crawlspaces when necessary Set and check wildlife traps according to company procedures and applicable regulations Assist with wildlife-contamination cleanup and insulation-related work when required Photograph and document work before, during, and after completion Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, and commercial customers Maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicles Identify legitimate additional wildlife problems and potential entry points Assist with larger residential and commercial wildlife-exclusion projects Compensation & Incentive Program We want our technicians to have the security of a competitive hourly wage while also having the opportunity to increase their earnings as their skills, independence, productivity, and contribution to the company increase. Weekly Pay Base hourly wages and applicable overtime are paid weekly. Production Performance Bonus Technicians may earn approximately 2% of qualifying completed and collected production revenue, based on their role in completing the work. Because wildlife jobs vary considerably in size, difficulty, and manpower requirements, production credit is generally categorized as follows: Lead — 100% Production Credit The technician independently completes the work or serves as the lead technician on a project that legitimately requires additional manpower. Shared — 50% Production Credit The technician and owner/another technician substantially share responsibility for completing the project. Training/Assist — 25% Production Credit The owner or lead technician primarily leads and performs the project while the technician assists and/or receives training. Safety Will Not Reduce Your Production Credit Some wildlife-exclusion projects legitimately require two people because of roof conditions, ladder safety, material handling, project complexity, or other operational reasons. Technicians will not lose production credit simply because appropriate additional manpower is required to perform a job safely. If the technician is capable of leading the assignment but the project reasonably requires a second person, the technician may still qualify for 100% production credit. We will never encourage an employee to work unsafely simply to increase a production bonus. Quality Control, Repair Inspections & Callbacks Production bonuses reward quality production—not simply completing jobs quickly. Completed exclusion and repair work is subject to quality-control inspection by the owner or designated supervisor. Technicians are expected to follow Grade A Critter's workmanship standards, complete the approved scope of work, and properly document completed repairs with photographs and job notes. Production and performance bonuses may be affected by preventable callbacks, failed repair inspections, incomplete work, or workmanship that does not meet company standards. Examples may include: Missed or improperly sealed wildlife entry points Incomplete or substandard repairs Repairs that fail quality-control inspection Failure to complete the approved scope of work Improper installation of exclusion materials Preventable damage to customer property Failure to properly photograph or document completed work Repeat service resulting from an avoidable technician error Warranty callbacks attributable to incomplete or improper workmanship A customer callback does not automatically mean a technician loses a bonus. Wildlife activity can sometimes continue or recur for reasons outside the technician's control. Bonus adjustments will be based on whether the issue was reasonably attributable to workmanship, failure to follow company procedures, or an avoidable oversight. Technicians who consistently produce clean, professional repairs with strong documentation, successful quality-control inspections, and low preventable callback rates will have the greatest opportunity to earn full production and performance bonuses. Safety → Quality → Customer Service → Productivity Technician-Generated Sales Commission Technicians may earn approximately 5% commission on qualifying additional work they personally identify and help generate that results in collected revenue. For example, if you're servicing a property and discover a legitimate additional wildlife or exclusion problem, properly document and communicate the issue, and the customer purchases the additional work, you may qualify for sales commission. Sales commissions and production bonuses reward different contributions: Sales Commission = Generating legitimate additional business Production Bonus = Successfully completing quality work A technician may potentially earn both when they generate qualifying additional work and participate in completing that work. Grade A Critter does not encourage unnecessary repairs, services, or high-pressure selling. The customer's best interest and our company's reputation come first. Additional Performance Incentives Technicians may also have opportunities to earn: Customer Review Incentives — Additional compensation for qualifying legitimate customer reviews recognizing the technician and their service.
Quarterly Performance Bonus: Up to approximately $500 per quarter Quarterly performance may consider: Quality of workmanship Repair and quality-control inspections Preventable callback/warranty rate Attendance and dependability Customer satisfaction Productivity Safety Job documentation Care of company vehicles, tools, and equipment Overall professionalism and performance When Bonuses & Commissions Are Paid To keep compensation consistent and transparent: Hourly wages and applicable overtime: Paid weekly. Production bonuses, technician-generated sales commissions, and qualifying customer-review incentives: Generally calculated monthly based on qualifying completed and collected revenue and paid through a designated payroll during the following month.

Detailed bonus and commission eligibility, calculations, and program terms will be provided in the company's written compensation policy. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
