About the role

We are looking for an experienced Network/Systems Engineer to support a financial services environment in Greenville, South Carolina. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity offering onsite engagement for an initial 4 to 6 month term, with a strong focus on enterprise infrastructure, systems reliability, and network support. The role is well suited to a senior specialist who can manage complex Microsoft, virtualization, cloud, and networking technologies while contributing hands-on technical expertise across day-to-day operations and project work.
Responsibilities: Administer and enhance Windows Server environments, including server upgrades, migrations, and ongoing operational support across enterprise systems. Manage VMware vSphere infrastructure to maintain virtual machine performance, availability, and capacity across production environments. Oversee storage platforms and backup-related activities to help ensure data protection, system resilience, and efficient resource utilization. Support Active Directory services, including Group Policy, federation services, and hybrid identity integrations with Entra ID and Azure AD synchronization. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks, streamline maintenance, and improve infrastructure efficiency. Provide hands-on support for Cisco network infrastructure, helping maintain connectivity, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen overall network performance. Administer Windows Server and SQL clustering environments, including upgrade activities and high-availability support for critical applications. Maintain Microsoft Azure resources such as virtual machines, networking components, and hybrid infrastructure connections between cloud and on-premises systems. Handle enterprise patching, certificate administration, and Microsoft Exchange Online or Office 365 mail environment support, including spam filtering oversight. Assist with Linux systems administration and collaborate on broader infrastructure initiatives where cross-platform support is needed.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
