About the role
- Assist individuals during transportation to and from home, day programs, appointments, and community activities
- Safely operate a vehicle when assigned routes require coverage
- Assist individuals with entering and exiting vehicles as needed
- Monitor passenger safety, comfort, and well-being during transit
- Provide companionship and support while encouraging independence
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned vehicles
- Follow transportation schedules and communicate delays or concerns
- Complete required daily logs, documentation, and incident reports
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Work independently while adapting to changing transportation needs
- Drive safely in all weather conditions when necessary

- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass criminal, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
- Ability to safely transport individuals when assigned driving dutiesCPR/First Aid Certification preferred (training provided upon hire)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, patient, and professional demeanor
- Prior experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required
- Previous transportation experience is preferred but not required
