About the role
Job Title: Product Engineer
Location: Fuquay-Varina, NC Duration: 24 months with possible extension
Position Overview:
As a Product Engineer based in Fuquay-Varina, NC, you will be responsible for developing and implementing product enhancements that improve cost, quality, reliability, and overall performance. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, resolving technical issues, and supporting products throughout the development and production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engineering solutions to enhance product quality, performance, and cost efficiency. Manage multiple moderate-complexity projects while ensuring alignment with established timelines and implementation milestones. Investigate product and system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions. Partner with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and drive engineering initiatives. Support product development activities from concept and design through production implementation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Proficiency with 3D CAD software and engineering tools such as Creo, Windchill, SAP, ANSYS, or equivalent systems. Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, structural, and powertrain systems, including troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings, with solid knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Experience taking engineering concepts through design, validation, and full production implementation. Strong analytical skills with experience performing engineering calculations and data analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or another advanced engineering qualification. Experience with commercial mowing equipment, turf care products, or related industries. Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, engine systems, and associated components. Experience applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and best practices. Familiarity with Systems Engineering, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
