- Set up, operate, and monitor packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare equipment for production runs, including film, printer ribbons, chub print, and check weighers.
- Enter production information and verify dates, batch numbers, labels, barcodes, and product weights for accuracy.
- Complete required allergen, labeling, and traceability checks.
- Perform routine equipment adjustments and basic troubleshooting to support production flow.
- Communicate with Blenders, Packers, QA, and supervisors to keep production running smoothly.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Basic math and intermediate reading skills.
- Ability to follow production instructions and complete required documentation accurately.
- Previous packaging machinery experience preferred.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn HACCP, GMP, and food safety requirements.
- Ability to distinguish colors and safely perform physical production duties.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb stairs or ladders.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push or pull materials using appropriate equipment.
