We are seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator with strong hard bid experience to join our tight-knit, growing team in Columbus.
Position Summary: The Commercial Estimator will manage, prepare, and execute complete cost estimates for a wide variety of commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of complete cost estimates, budget estimates, and hard bids for diverse commercial construction projects. Review and analyze project blueprints, specifications, engineering drawings, and tender documents. Quantify take-offs for all labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes. Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and internal project management teams.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator.
  • Degree is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated success and deep familiarity with the hard bid (lump-sum) delivery method.
  • Proven track record estimating a diverse range of commercial project types (e.g., corporate offices, institutional, municipal, retail, or industrial).Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
