About the role

Cabinet Laborer Out of the Woods, located in Layton, Utah, is a woodworking and cabinetry company built on craftsmanship, quality, and pride in doing things right. We are looking for a Cabinet Laborer to join our Cabinet Shop team. This position provides assistance with tasks and duties that help keep work moving efficiently throughout the cabinet shop.
Pay: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Part-Time | MondayFriday | 6:00 AM11:00 AM OR 11:30 AM3:30 PM
Location: Layton, Utah
Cabinet Shop Support: As a Cabinet Laborer, you'll assist with tasks throughout the cabinet shop to help keep production moving.
Responsibilities include: Catch parts as they come off the sander or edge bander and move them to the next stage. Effectively and efficiently follow all quality and safety procedures, as specified by Safety Data Sheets and other guides. Be attentive to detail and quality, ensuring that products fulfill our quality standards. Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers. Maintain all equipment used on the job. Notify management immediately of any problems with equipment or other observed safety risks. Perform other functions as necessary or as assigned. Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels of employees, management, executives, and customers.
What We're Looking For: Required/Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating shop machinery preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions in English, required. Basic understanding of woodworking tools, equipment, and shop practices preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work collaboratively with team members. Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train in other areas of the shop. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Work is performed in a shop environment, including standing for long periods of time and exposure to noise, dust, moving mechanical parts, and varying temperatures. Regularly perform repetitive wrist, hand, and/or finger movements. Regularly feel the attributes of objects, grasp, push, and reach with arms or hands. Must be able to occasionally move, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 50 pounds. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Work around machinery, tools, and equipment, requiring attention to safety procedures at all times. Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas, which may include safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and closed-toe footwear. Ability to safely navigate production and warehouse environments. Out of the Woods is looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, quality-focused, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced cabinet shop environment.
