ECU Opioid & Stimulant Prevention Services Grants Coordinator The ECU Opioid & Stimulant Prevention Services Grants Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring and coordinating ECU Opioid & Stimulant Prevention Services Grant program. Responsible for coalition planning, reporting, capacity building, project implementation, volunteer recruitment and coordination, local media outputs, resource management, and gathering outcome data. Essential Job Duties Provide information or training on evidence-based programs to campus, as well as monthly outreach or tabling events Manage and evaluate educational and marketing materials Coordinate strategic planning meetings with Project Director and campus team Perform work within the Strategic Prevention Framework Complete required monthly benchmarks, activities, timelines, and deliverables Maintain a visible prevention presence on campus and build relationships students and campus departments Host and facilitate monthly campus prevention coalition meetings Distribute medication lock boxes and other prevention and safe-storage resources Coordinate annual prescription drug Take Back Day and related promotion and documentation Coordinate and administer annual student and prevention surveys Participate in monthly state collaborative meetings and professional development Track projects for programs Abide by policies of BWI, ECU, and ODMHSASCooperate fully with BWI and its partners to achieve goals and objectives Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, social work, counseling or appropriate related field 3-5 years equivalent experience preferred Knowledge of prevention field and research-based prevention strategies Licenses/Certifications Certified Prevention Specialist preferred or individual willing to obtain CPSKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and communication skills Knowledge of online media Flexibility and ability to multi-task with various projects, programs and obligations. An understanding of prevention science Some travel is required as well as evening or weekend work Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information Must have a strong work ethic and lead by example Must be a professional, credible and respected representative of the institution internally and in the community Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible Ability to communicate in a courteous manner Physical Demands Constantly required to remain in a seated position for extended periods Frequently required to communicate effectively with diverse populations Regularly performs tasks that involve repetitive wrist and finger movement Regularly operates a computer and other standard office equipment Occasionally required to move about the office and similar spaces Occasionally moves materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds Work Environment The work is performed in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels from conversations, and standard office equipment.
