Membership Clerk (Eastside)The Membership Clerk is responsible for greeting, assisting, and providing direction and information to members, parents, visitors, and other organization guests.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensures the reception area and Club is warm and friendly by greeting club members, parents, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each persons visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.Professionally answers, screens, and directs phone calls; takes messages.Collects and maintains youth membership documentation.Performs administrative and clerical support tasks to Club to include data entry for Youth Programming.Records daily member attendance and receive Club revenues.Notifies Branch Director of any serious Club members issues or concerns.Assist in promoting and stimulating Club membership.Provides positive ongoing assistance to Club members.Prepare and organize Club membership materials; directly supporting programs and activities as needed.Assist in delivering effective communication with parents, volunteers, and the local community for their enthusiastic involvement and support of the goals, objectives, programs, and tasks of the Branch.Accountable for assigned equipment and supplies.Other duties or tasks that may be assigned.Recruit and assist obtaining future club members.Qualifications:Must have a valid TX driver's license.Must be at least 21 years or older.High school diploma or equivalent required.Efficient typing, filing, and computer skills that will facilitate administrative and data collection requirements.Must be able to work with inner-city youth.Must possess good character and good health, have a sense of humor, and a pleasing personality.Must have a sincere interest in children, maturity, self-control, and sound judgment.Must have the ability to gain and keep the respect of boys and girls, and adults and to guide them in the exercise of sound judgment.Must have the energy, initiative, and ability to get things done within specific time frames.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Must possess a capacity for loyalty and support of the organizations mission and of goals and policies.Ability to assist in implementing membership enhancement programs and achieving the desired results.Ability to assist as needed to organize and support Club programs.
