Pay: $19.50hr Schedule: Monday - Friday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Location: Leetsdale, PA Type: Contract position
Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Saw / Grinder Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in the Leetsdale area. This role is responsible for accurately cutting raw materials to specification, grinding and finishing components, supporting material movement throughout the facility, and ensuring products meet quality standards before advancing to the next stage of production. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, reading basic drawings, and operating saws, grinders, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities: Operate band saws to cut material according to work orders and drawings. Grind, deburr, and finish metal components to required specifications. Inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy. Operate secondary equipment such as grinders, sanders, and drill presses. Move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility. Perform basic machine maintenance and daily equipment checks. Record production information in the ERP system. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Assist with other production duties as needed.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Manufacturing, machine shop, fabrication, or metalworking experience preferred. Ability to read basic drawings and use measuring tools. Forklift experience is a plus or willingness to obtain certification. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
