About the role
- 3+ years of experience performing heavy equipment mechanic work
- Diesel mechanic certification or equivalent demonstrated heavy diesel mechanic experienceStrong experience with heavy diesel repair and maintenance
- Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems
- Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical systems
- Knowledge of diesel and gasoline fuel systems
- Ability to perform electrical and engine diagnostics using scanners and diagnostic equipment
- Welding experienceStrong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and field personnel
- Ability to independently manage a schedule and organize work priorities
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including approximately 60% out of state
- Valid driver's license
- Must have own basic mechanic tools
- Must meet DOTPreferred Qualifications
- Experience working on Ford 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engines
- Experience working on GM 6.6L Duramax diesel engines
- Safety Inspection Certification
- Previous management or leadership experience
- Class A CDL highly preferred
