About the role

LOC Credit Union is seeking an experienced and strategic Assistant Vice President of Lendingto lead and oversee the Credit, Consumer, and Real Estate Lending functions while supporting the credit union's overall goals and strategic direction. This position plays a key leadership role in drivingloan growth, member engagement, portfolio quality, and operational efficiency. The AVP of Lending monitors all areas of lending to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and sound lending practices. This role also leverages data and analytics to support informed decision-making, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
Preferred qualifications include: Progressive lending leadership experience within a credit union or financial institution. Strong knowledge of consumer, mortgage/real estate, and credit operations. Demonstrated experience with underwriting, lending compliance, risk management, and lending policies and procedures. Experience leading, coaching, and developing lending teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions. Experience improving processes through technology, automation, and operational efficiencies. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with senior leadership. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
