The Opportunity:
We're looking for a Vice President of Licensing to lead a few of our marquee client relationships. This is a senior, hands-on role for a seasoned licensing professional who can own client strategy, drive deals from pitch to signature, and mentor a talented team. You'll work directly with our founder and play a key role in shaping the next chapter of our growth.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Client leadership: Serve as the senior point of contact for a portfolio of marquee clients, building trusted relationships with brand and marketing leadership and serving as a strategic advisor on their licensing programs.
Program strategy: Develop and execute licensing strategies, including category expansion, territory planning, retail positioning, and annual business plans.
Deal making: Identify, pitch, and close licensing and brand partnership deals; lead negotiations on key terms such as royalties, minimum guarantees, territories, and product scope.
Licensee management: Oversee licensee performance, approvals, royalty reporting, and compliance, and resolve issues proactively and diplomatically.
Team leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop account executives and coordinators, setting clear expectations and fostering a collaborative, high-accountability culture.
New business: Contribute to new client development, pitch presentations, and thought leadership that Contribute grows SLG's reputation in the industry.

Qualifications:
10+ years of brand licensing experience, on the agency, licensor, or licensee side, with at least 3 years in a client-facing leadership role.
Proven track record managing multi-category, multi-territory licensing programs; food & beverage and consumer brand experience is a strong plus.
Working knowledge of licensing agreements and deal structures.
Experience managing and developing a team.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office and comfort with tools such as Google Docs, Share Point, AI, Dropbox, and licensing management platforms.
