Traveling SuperintendentWe are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Superintendent with extensive experience in commercial construction, particularly in high-end retail build-outs and renovations. This position is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring quality execution, adherence to project schedules, and maintaining client standards across multiple retail locations throughout the U.S.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced, client-facing environments with demanding timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily on-site operations of commercial retail construction projects from start to finish.Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.Ensure high-end finishes are installed per specifications, maintaining the premium quality expected by luxury retail brands.Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant job site.Coordinate with project managers, architects, and owners to resolve site issues, communicate updates, and maintain alignment with the project scope.Maintain accurate daily reports, site photos, project documentation, and schedule tracking.Conduct quality control inspections and manage punch list completion and close-out processes.Travel to various project sites nationwide and remain on-site for the duration of each project.Qualifications5+ years of superintendent experience in commercial construction with a strong portfolio of high-end or luxury retail projects.Proven ability to manage fast-track schedules and coordinate multiple trades efficiently.Exceptional understanding of interior finishes, millwork, lighting, and MEP coordination.Strong communication and leadership skills to interact with owners, designers, and subcontractors.Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, drawings, and schedules.Familiar with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to travel 100% of the time and remain on-site throughout project duration.OSHA 30 certification preferred.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsMust be able to walk, stand, and navigate active construction sites for extended periods.Must be comfortable working in varied conditions, including occupied retail spaces, tight build-out schedules, and during off-hours.Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and operating tools may be required.BenefitsPaid travel expensesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysPerformance-based bonusesIf you're a hands-on leader with a passion for delivering high-end commercial spaces, we'd love to connect with you.
