Pre-Owned Sales Manager The Pre-Owned Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance and profitability of the pre-owned vehicle department. This individual will lead a team of sales professionals, manage pre-owned inventory strategy, and ensure that customer interactions reflect our premium brand experience. The role includes driving sales volume, maximizing gross profit, overseeing appraisals and reconditioning decisions, and working closely with leadership to develop and meet strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Lead, train, and motivate the Pre-Owned Sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales and profitability targets. Manage trade-in evaluations, appraisals, and pricing in alignment with market trends and inventory needs. Partner with the Service and Recon teams to ensure vehicles are frontline ready with minimal turnaround time. Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels, balancing aged units and new acquisitions to maximize turn and gross. Develop and implement merchandising and digital retailing strategies to increase visibility and attract qualified leads. Ensure the pre-owned showroom and online presence reflect the brand's standards of quality and presentation. Collaborate with the General Sales Manager and General Manager on forecasting, goal setting, and marketing plans. Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction scores by ensuring a seamless and transparent buying experience. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in an automotive sales management role, preferably in pre-owned vehicle operations. Strong knowledge of market pricing, appraisals, digital merchandising platforms (vAuto, CDK, etc.) and inventory management. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams and drive revenue growth. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Adhere to Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles laws and company policies on driving company and customer vehicles Team player with a positive attitude Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the day. Frequently moves between multiple dealership levels using staircases; must be able to ascend and descend stairs throughout the day. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds (e.g., marketing materials, supplies, equipment). Must be able to work in both office and showroom environments, with frequent transitions to outdoor vehicle lots for inventory inspections, appraisals, and customer interactions. Requires the ability to visually inspect vehicles for quality and presentation standards, which may involve bending, kneeling, or reaching. Frequent use of computer systems, telephones, and digital platforms requiring hand-eye coordination and dexterity. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy retail automotive environment that includes walking between indoor and outdoor areas in varying weather conditions. Flexible to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on dealership needs.
