About the role
Client is seeking an experienced Database Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale database solutions supporting mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle databases, strong SQL skills, and hands-on experience working in Azure and AWS cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions.
Lead database architecture decisions for on-prem and cloud-based systems.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
Manage and maintain Oracle databases, including performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
Implement database solutions in Azure and AWS environments.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.
Collaborate with application teams, cloud engineers, and DevOps teams.
Troubleshoot complex database performance and availability issues.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior database engineers and developers.
Support database migration and modernization initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications12–15 years of overall IT experience with strong focus on Database Architecture.
Extensive experience with Oracle Database (architecture, performance tuning, replication).
Advanced SQL expertise.
Hands-on experience in Azure cloud services related to databases.
Experience working with AWS database services.
Strong understanding of data modeling, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
Experience with database security, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience with database migration from on-prem to cloud.
Exposure to healthcare or government domain systems.
Knowledge of automation, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code concepts.
