Position Title: Receptionist / Switch Board Operator

Wage: $17.50 per hour

Hours: 7:30am-4:30pmWe are seeking a professional and personable Receptionist / Switchboard Operator to join a great team in Rockford, IL. This key role involves managing incoming calls, providing exceptional customer and client service, and supporting their operational needs across multiple locations. Receptionist / Switch Board Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operate the switchboard to efficiently answer, route, and manage all incoming calls, ensuring prompt and courteous communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Greet visitors and direct them appropriately, maintaining a positive and professional first impression. Learn and understand the company's products and specifications to accurately communicate with clients and team members. Enter critical information related to products, clients, or vendors into the system with accuracy, ensuring data integrity. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and support daily operations. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and operational needs. Provide support for eight company building locations, ensuring seamless communication and operational flow across all sites. Receptionist / Switch Board Operator Requirements: Proven experience as a receptionist, switchboard operator, or in a similar customer service role. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong understanding of decimals and numerical data. Ability to quickly learn product details and specifications. Proficiency in using computer systems and data entry. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Professional appearance and demeanor, with excellent interpersonal skills.
